Wild Life

Exploring the iconic wilderness of Indonesia can involve anything from sharing a trail with a tail-swishing Komodo dragon to hearing the excited trumpeting of a wild elephant in the forests as she calls to her mate. You can encounter tigers, clouded leopards, bearded pigs and crocodiles. The steamy rainforests of Kalimantan (Borneo) and Sumatra are home to an impressive array of primates including orangutans,

Proboscis monkeys, and siamang gibbons. In Sumatra, you will see gibbon, deer, Sunda slow loris and many unique bird species. On Java there is the possibility of sighting some of the last surviving rhinoceros while, in the far reaches of Papua, the prized bird of paradise awaits you. On the island of Sulawesi you can find crested macaques, spectral tarsiers and so much more.
